Capital West was built on the decommisioned British Gas site, previously the Brentford Gas Company site. The British Gas site has Thames Water as
it's neighbour and part of that site has been sold for development and is being decommissioned. The British Gas and Thames Water sites were grouped together
as one development called the Brentford High Street MasterPlan, noted as M11 in council planning references.
