New trees go into Chapel Lane

- 10-Jun-2005
The trees along Chapel Lane have been renewed today.

Our dedicated gardener replaced the trees along one side of Chapel Lane today.

A few of the original trees put in by the developer along both sides of Chapel Lane failed to take hold and we have been faced with a running battle to keep them healthy or replaced as and when required.

The original plans dictated the period to which the developer remained responsible for them, and it became apparent we might be apparent we would be stuck in an endless cycle of replacing trees. We decided to agree a way forward with the developer and use any funds they needed to contribute by planting an alternative variety of tree, the Acer Campestre Elsrijk - Field Maple. This variety should develop to a height of 8-12 meters.

We have consolidated the best of the existing trees (Liriodendron Tulipifera - Tulip trees) along the south side of Chapel Lane and introduced the new variety along the north side creating a balance for what we hope will translate into a nice tree lined boulevard.
