Planning permission was granted some 5 years ago and according to law, works must start within that time, and the deadline of September 29 was approaching fast. Unfortunately for the developer (St George) Thames Water has not decommissioned the land to a position it can be handed over for development. As a solution the developer was granted permission to start building the access road into the development therefore meeting the 5 year deadline. The development proper is expected to begin in about 2-3 years. The access road will not open the other end of Chapel Lane. To see the plans of the apartments going up next door click here.
