St George's Church Redevelopment Plans Approved

- 05-Aug-2009
The latest plans to redevelop St George's Church and Sarah Trimmer Hall went before the Hounslow Council Sustainable Development Committee (SDC) last Monday evening and were approved.

The plans are for a very sympathetic redevelopment with minor modifications to the exterior of the buildings.

These include include adding rounded dormer type windows into the roof line on both sides and extending the windows right down to the ground level on the south side and opening up the north side windows in a similar way. The north side windows have never been anything other than bricked up since construction as the northern transom was never completed.

The plans were publically endorsed by the Holland Gardens Residents Committee as our goals was always a sympathetic redevelopment. Not all residents of Holland Gardens shared the same view as it was feared some privacy might be compromised by the new windows.
